Mentor-Mentee System
At Navkar D & B Pharmacy College & Research Center, we implement a robust Mentor-Mentee system to provide personalized academic and emotional support to our students. This system ensures that every student (Mentee) is guided by a dedicated faculty member (Mentor) throughout their academic journey.
Objectives of the System
| Objective | Description |
|---|---|
| Academic Guidance | To assist students in understanding the curriculum, choosing electives, and improving academic performance. |
| Personal Counseling | To provide a supportive environment for students to discuss personal or professional challenges. |
| Career Development | To guide students regarding higher education opportunities, competitive exams like GPAT, and career paths. |
| Performance Tracking | Regular monitoring of attendance and sessional exam results to identify and help slow learners. |
Allocation Process
Every faculty member is assigned a small group of approximately 15-20 students. This small ratio allows for meaningful interaction and effective individual attention.
Periodic Meetings
Formal mentor-mentee meetings are conducted at least once a month. Mentors maintain a "Mentor Book" to record the progress and grievances of each mentee.
