National Service Scheme (NSS)

 

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. At Navkar D & B Pharmacy College, our NSS unit provides a platform for students to engage in community service, helping them develop a sense of social responsibility and leadership.

Motto: "Not Me, But You"

This motto reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. It underlines the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as a whole.

Core Objectives

Leadership Skills Acquire competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.

Regular Activities

Volunteers undertake various activities throughout the year, including Blood Donation Camps, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Tree Plantation, and Health Awareness Rallies.

Special Winter Camp

A residential camp of 7 days is organized annually in an adopted village, where volunteers live with the community to execute local development projects.

Certification: To receive an NSS certificate, a volunteer must complete 240 hours of community service over two years, including at least one Special Camp.
